Chaplin Jamie D. Watts

Jamie is a 4th Generation Funeral Services Provider going all the way back to his great grandfather William Watts who assisted families during their loss in the 1800’s. He is a licensed Funeral Director in Florida and Georgia and the CEO of Southern Shipping and Cremation LLC the parent company of Worth Cremation Service of Florida. The idea of making cremation arrangements online came to Jamie after the death of his father in 2005. After going through the process himself he knew there had to be a better way. He wanted to make the process of arranging cremation simple, dignified and affordable to those living in Florida. With that goal in mind the online cremation arrangement center was born. It has now become a model that cremation providers in other states now follow.  

Besides his work in funeral service Jamie also serves as a City Councilman and Vice-Mayor of the Town of Welaka. He currently serves as chaplain for FEMORT which is Florida’s Emergency Disaster Team. Jamie is a Free and Accepted Mason serving as Master of Pineland Lodge No 86 of Palatka, Fl. in 2014. He is also a Shriner and can often be found visiting with the children at the Shriners Children's Hospital in Tampa, Fl.  

Besides his community service Jamie also enjoys scuba diving with his son. He is a commercial pilot so he enjoys weekend trips with his children Landrum and Amylie and he enjoys the ocean as it takes him back to his youth and the long summers he spent with his grandparents

Margaret M. Watts

Margaret has served in Funeral Service for over 30 years working alongside of her son Jamie for over 20 years. She is a licensed funeral director in both Florida and Georgia and the co owner of the company. As a licensed funeral services professional she works daily with families like yours to see to it that our cremation services are carried out on time and as promised.

Margaret's community service includes her support of her Moose Lodge No. 1641 of Crescent City, Fl. Margaret is also an active member of her church Beulah Baptist where she serves as a Sunday School Teacher and a Choir Member. Margaret also enjoys giving of her time with various community service projects including the School Reading Program and Shoes for Kids.

Besides her community service margaret also enjoys drawing and painting landscapes and crocheting. Her most enjoyment includes spending time with her grandchildren Landrum and Amylie. Margaret continues to uphold the promise that her and her husband Bill Watts made to their community over three decades ago to provide cremation services in a dignified and affordable manner and to treat each person's loved one as if they are a member of their own family.  

John E. Harris

John is the director of cremation for Worth Cremation Service of Florida. In this position he oversee all cremation ensuring all cremations are carried out with dignity and respect.

Having worked for the Watts Family for over a decade John continues to be a valuable part of Worth’s family service team.

John’s community service includes team member for for FEMORT which is Florida’s Emergency Disaster Team. Support of his Moose Lodge No.184 of Palatka, Fl. and U.S. Veterans Post No 104 also of Palatka, Fl.

John is an avid antique car collector with over 14 antique cars including many of which are Fords. John’s love of antique cars come from his father who worked for Ford Motor Company for over 40 years. John’s love includes his 5 four legged babies who he has had for 8 plus years. John also enjoys riding his motorcycle when time permits. John is also a Vietnam Era Veteran his service includes serving on the USS Saratoga. His love for the military and for serving his country is why he serves as our military liaison assisting families in obtaining military death benefits for their loved one.
